The Power of Prayer

Hi, and thank you for being here at 144Judah. Today is a little different--blog wise. Today, I am just going to focus on prayer. I was feeling a little anxious for the first time in a long while. Being an empath, I tend to get that way when I'm in a large group setting, or when I'm around people that don't understand me or don't like me.

Today was weird because, I don't think anyone didn't necessarily not like me but I felt the familiar tug of feeling sick in the stomach... Anxiety reared its ugly head.

I came into my camper, my new temporary office, until I get my old office back, and pulled out my handy dandy jar of prayer cards. These are actually pretty cool. They are color-coated for certain events/categories, and you can read them whenever you feel like it. This one is a daily blessings jar of bible verses. Pretty cool, right?

Anyway, I looked at the categories

Happy

Thankful

Angry

Lonely

Sad

and ...

Anxious.

Anxious was a greet prayer...fitting.

"Peace I leave with you, my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."  - John 14:27

Such good advice from Yeshua (Jesus)... This was after Peter had asked why he can't follow Jesus now?

Jesus was going away, and he was laying down his life for all of us. This is where He tells Peter that his heart is strong and loves Jesus but he will also betray him 3 times, he isn't ready... But what Jesus is about to do will prepare him for that journey one day, and in the same way he has done for all of us.

You see?

Jesus tells us, if the world has hated you, don't worry... it hated him first. Can you imagine?

What does Jesus mean when he said "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." ....

The world gives anxiety, worry, fear... we are constantly living on a time table. Jesus talks about leaving the worries to Him... we aren't to worry... there is literally no point. What will happen will happen. You are not God. You don't have control over what other people do or think. You only have control over what you do or think. So if someone doesn't like you, that's their problem. Not yours... If someone has a bad day... that is not your problem. It isn't your bad day. We don't have to claim it. I don't have to have anxiety right now. I don't need to take on anyone's problems. I am not God. I am a temple of God. I am a child of God. God is within me. Jesus says to lean on him. To let go and let GOD.... let God into your heart, and allow him to be the judge. LET GO!

And because of that, I can take comfort in knowing that God is also within the people that are having a hard time right now, too...

And guess what? God is working within them, too. Only they have to turn to HIM.... Can I do it for them? NO.... Can they? YES...

What can we do? We can pray for those that need prayer, and guess what? That includes you, too. I pray for myself every day. I pray for the roads to be safe, for my children to be safe, for my husband, parents, my sister n laws, my brother n law, my inlaws, friends, people that I do spark with, my nieces... there's a list...I also pray for my community. We can pray that people come to God, that they will heal, and come to Him on their own.

So, when we do get anxiety or get down, we just have to remember, that Jesus gives us HIS peace. We can rely on him. And you can talk to HIM. You don't have to talk to anyone else... Trust me, His peace is sufficient.

God bless everyone! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

Love,
Danielle
