The Book of Jubilees: Part 15 (Lesser Genesis)

Hi, and thank you for joining me at 144Judah! "The Book of the Jubilees" which is also known by some as "Lesser Genesis" is a very interesting book as it gives us more background and how the background was given. We learned in part one that Moses received this word on Mount Sinai from an Angel/Malek (Messenger) of the LORD, in the second chapter, we learn about what God created and on which days...and we also learn that God's Chosen People: ISRAEL are to keep the Shabbats. To not do so is to die. Yesterday, we learned that Adam and Eve were cursed for taking from the tree in the middle of the Garden, then we go down the lines until we hit Noah and his family and learn that there were a lot more people born of Adam and Eve then we have heard of in Genesis. After this, Noah gets into the Ark and the waters begin to rise; and the world completely changes and we are given our calendar. 13 weeks between each change of the season. 4 Divisions. Each start at the Observance of the New Moon. 364 Day calendar! As Noah commands his son about the observances and of what he sees of his own children and how they have been fighting and their children aren't doing what they are supposed to, Noah tells them that he worries that they will be taken care of by God...and not in a good way, which leads us to the sons of Noah dividing their inheritance (the earth) by using lots. We learn of the land which they decided upon, and Noah is overjoyed because of a prophecy that he had spoken about Shem and The Almighty God blessing him. Who are Shem's people -- eventually? The Sons of Jacob...The Twelve Tribes... ISRAEL. And in the 9th Chapter, Noah has his son's swear an oath that when they divide their land to their sons, that none of them will try to take any of their brothers' land. What happens if they do? Cursed... which brings us to Canaan and how he stole from Shem's lot... which makes a lot more sense as to why Canaan is The Land of Milk and Honey and how it is The Promised Land of God's Chosen People through Shem's line. Then we come to Babel, and the son's language have now been confounded...and the people who once spoke Hebrew are no longer. Things are far away from The Most High God now, and the land has now gone from being divided between Noah's son's sons to Ham's son Canaan, taking Shem's land. So...we now are seeing the line that leads us down into Abram (Abraham) who we learn loves God and has learned basically what not to do from his father's example. And the coolest part? God speaks to him and Abraham listens! God chooses him because Abraham chose God and God reveals to him the language of Hebrew, and now Abraham has been given his fathers books... what books you say? Oh, just the ones that Noah scribed... And guess what? Nobody has been able to read the language for many years. So, this all fits with the other book that I have been reading "The Book of Formation" Serfi Yetzirah... After favoring and blessing Abraham, God shows him everything that he can see and tells him that this land and all of it is his and his people's. He is the Father of All Nations! So, now we learn that Lot, his nephew, has been taken, and Abraham leaves to go get him. Which brings us to Abram having a vision and a promise that he will father a child, that he will have many. God shows him that his people will be strangers in a strange land for 400 years...which brings us to Chapter 15!

The Hebrew word torah literally means direction or instruction. The root, yod-resh-hey (ירה), originally likely meant to throw or shoot an arrow. The noun torah is rendered in a causative conjugation, which is just a way of saying that it literally means to cause something (or someone) to move straight and true. A torah is therefore something that directs, having connotations of offering strong and virtuous guidance.

Beyond instruction or teaching, torah can also mean law or statute — something one is not just guided to do, but required to do. And it can also refer to a custom, a kind of loose, unwritten law.

The Book Of Jubilees Chapter 15

YAHWEH appeared to Abram and Names him Abraham at the feast of the First fruits

1 And in the fifth year of the fourth week of this jubilee, [1979 A.M.] in the third month, in the middle of the month, Abram celebrated the feast of the first-fruits of the grain harvest.

2 And he offered new offerings on the altar, the first-fruits of the produce, unto YAHWEH, an heifer and a goat and a sheep on the altar as a burnt sacrifice unto YAHWEH; their fruit offerings and their drink offerings he offered upon the altar with frankincense.

3 And YAHWEH appeared to Abram, and said to him:

4 'I am YAHWEH Almighty; approve yourself before me and be you perfect. And I will make My covenant between Me and you, and I will multiply you exceedingly.' And Abram fell on his face, and YAHWEH talked with him, and said:

6 'Behold my ordinance is with you, And you shall be the father of many nations.

7 Neither shall your name any more be called Abram, But your name from henceforth, even forever, shall be Abraham. (I WILL GIVE YOU A NEW NAME!)

8 For the father of many nations have I made you. And I will make you very great, And I will make you into nations, And kings shall come forth from you.

9 And I shall establish My covenant between Me and you, and your seed after you, throughout their generations, for an eternal covenant, so that I may be a Sovereign Ruler to you, and to your seed after you.

10 And the land where you have been a sojourner, the land of Canaan, that you may possess it forever, and I will be their Sovereign Ruler.'

11 And YAHWEH said to Abraham: 'And as for you, do you keep my covenant, you and your seed after you: and circumcise you every male among you, and circumcise your foreskins, and it shall be a token of an eternal covenant between Me and you.

12 And the child on the eighth day you shall circumcise, every male throughout your generations, him that is born in the house, or whom you have bought with money from any stranger, whom you have acquired who is not of your seed.

13 He that is born in your house shall surely be circumcised, and those whom you have bought with money shall be circumcised, and My covenant shall be in your flesh for an eternal ordinance.

14 And the uncircumcised male who is not circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin on the eighth day, that soul shall be cut off from his people, for he has broken My covenant.' (I find this really interesting as I would think most men get circumcised now. So this proves the actual covenant that we still have today.)

SO, I had to know because the more I think about this, the more I was curious. Below I found the Global Circumcision Rate... Check this out:

Latin America has a circumcision rate of 40%.
Canada has a circumcision rate of 30%.
Australia has a circumcision rate of 50%.
New Zealand has a circumcision rate of 10%.

15 And YAHWEH said to Abraham: 'As for Sarai your wife, her name shall no more be called Sarai, but Sarah shall be her name.

16 And I will bless her, and give you a son by her, and I will bless him, and he shall become a nation, and kings of nations shall proceed from him.'

17 And Abraham fell on his face, and rejoiced, and said in his heart: 'Shall a son be born to him that is a hundred years old, and shall Sarah, who is ninety years old, bring forth?' (GOD IS GOOD!)

18 And Abraham said to YAHWEH: 'O that Ishmael might live before you!'

19 And YAHWEH said: 'Yes, and Sarah also shall bear you a son, and you shall call his name Yitschaq (Isaac), and I will establish My covenant with him, an everlasting covenant, and for his seed after him.

20 And as for Ishmael also have I heard you, and behold I will bless him, and make him great, and multiply him exceedingly, and he shall beget twelve princes, and I will make him a great nation. (Arab nations)

21 But My covenant will I establish with Yitschaq, whom Sarah shall bear to you, in these days, in the next year.'

22 And He left off speaking with him, and YAHWEH went up from Abraham.

23 And Abraham did according as YAHWEH had said to him, and he took Ishmael his son, and all that were born in his house, and whom he had bought with his money, every male in his house, and circumcised the flesh of their foreskin.

24 And on the selfsame day was Abraham circumcised, and all the men of his house, and all those, whom he had bought with money from the children of the stranger, were circumcised with him.

25 This Torah is for all the generations forever, and there is no circumcision of the days, and no omission of one day out of the eight days; for it is an eternal ordinance, ordained and written on the heavenly tablets.

26 And every one that is born, the flesh of whose foreskin is not circumcised on the eighth day, belongs not to the children of the covenant which YAHWEH made with Abraham, but to the children of destruction; nor is there, moreover, any sign on him that he is YAHWEH's, but (he is destined) to be destroyed and slain from the earth, and to be rooted out of the earth, for he has broken the covenant of YAHWEH our Sovereign Ruler.

27 For all the malakim of the presence and all the malakim of sanctification have been so created from the day of their creation, and before the malakim of the presence and the malakim of sanctification He has sanctified Yisrael, that they should be with Him and with His kodesh malakim.

28 And do you command the children of Yisrael and let them observe the sign of this covenant for their generations as an eternal ordinance, and they will not be rooted out of the land.

29 For the command is ordained for a covenant, that they should observe it forever among all the children of Yisrael.

30 For Ishmael and his sons and his brothers and Esau, YAHWEH did not cause to approach Him, and he chose them not because they are the children of Abraham, because He knew them, but He chose Yisrael to be His people.

31 And He sanctified it, and gathered it from amongst all the children of men; for there are many nations and many peoples, and all are His, and over all has He placed spirits in authority to lead them astray from Him.

32 But over Yisrael He did not appoint any malak or spirit, for He alone is their ruler, and He will preserve them and require them at the hand of His malakim and His spirits, and at the hand of all His powers in order that He may preserve them and bless them, and that they may be His and He may be theirs from henceforth forever.

33 And now I announce unto you that the children of Yisrael will not keep true to this ordinance, and they will not circumcise their sons according to all this Torah; for in the flesh of their circumcision they will omit this circumcision of their sons, and all of them, sons of Belial, will leave their sons uncircumcised as they were born.

34 And there will be great wrath from YAHWEH against the children of Yisrael, because they have forsaken His covenant and turned aside from His word, and provoked and blasphemed, inasmuch as they do not observe the ordinance of this Torah; for they have treated their members like the Gentiles, so that they may be removed and rooted out of the land. And there will no more be pardon or forgiveness unto them [so that there should be forgiveness and pardon] for all the sin of this eternal error.

Now we know why the slavery happened...why the 400 years went down. Laws were broken, covenants were not seen to by the Israelites. Why do God's people keeping choosing sin over God's awesomeness? What do you think? We will find out more on the 16th chapter of The Book of Jubilees tomorrow.

The Book of the Jubilees: Part 7 (Lesser Genesis)

The Book Of Jubilees Chapter 7

After The Flood Noah Planted And Made Sacrifices

1 And in the seventh week in the first year [1317 A.M.] thereof, in this jubilee, Noah planted vines on the mountain on which the ark had rested, named Lubar, one of the Ararat Mountains, and they produced fruit in the fourth year, [1320 A.M.] and he guarded their fruit, and gathered it in this year in the seventh month. (Can you imagine having to do all of the gardening? And here I have complained about a few tomato plants and some onions?!)

2 And he made wine there from and put it into a vessel, and kept it until the fifth year, [1321 A.M.] until the first day, on the new month of the first month. (Thank you, Noah!)

3 And he celebrated with joy the day of this feast, and he made a burnt sacrifice unto YAHWEH, one young ox and one ram, and seven sheep, each a year old, and a kid of the goats, that he might make atonement thereby for himself and his sons.

4 And he prepared the kid first, and placed some of its blood on the flesh that was on the altar which he had made, and all the fat he laid on the altar where he made the burnt sacrifice, and the ox and the ram and the sheep, and he laid all their flesh upon the altar.

5 And he placed all their offerings mingled with oil upon it, and afterwards he sprinkled wine on the fire which he had previously made on the altar, and he placed incense on the altar and caused a sweet savoir to ascend acceptable before YAHWEH his Sovereign Ruler.

6 And he rejoiced and drank of this wine, he and his children with joy.

7 And it was evening, and he went into his tent, and being drunken he lay down and slept, and was uncovered in his tent as he slept.

8 And Ham saw Noah his father naked, and went forth and told his two brethren without.

9 And Shem took his garment and arose, he and Japheth, and they placed the garment on their shoulders and went backward and covered the shame of their father, and their faces were backward.

10 And Noah awoke from his sleep and knew all that his younger son had done unto him, and he cursed his son and said: 'Cursed be Canaan; an enslaved servant shall he be unto his brethren.'

11 And he blessed Shem, and said: 'Blessed be the YAHWEH ALMIGHTY of Shem, and Canaan shall be his servant.

12 YAHWEH shall enlarge Japheth, and YAHWEH shall dwell in the dwelling of Shem, and Canaan shall be his servant.'

13 And Ham knew that his father had cursed his younger son, and he was displeased that he had cursed his son. and he parted from his father, he and his sons with him, Cush and Mizraim and Put and Canaan. (Wow... so now we have curses again. This really stinks. This is more explained in this version for sure. In Genesis we just find out that Noah curse's Ham's kid. He couldn't curse Ham because God blessed him.)

14 And he built for himself a city and called its name after the name of his wife Ne'elatama'uk. (This is all new, as we don't really know where they went but that they went somewhere. We also don't know their wives' names in Genesis.)

15 And Japheth saw it, and became envious of his brother, and he too built for himself a city, and he called its name after the name of his wife 'Adataneses.

16 And Shem dwelt with his father Noah, and he built a city close to his father on the mountain, and he too called its name after the name of his wife Sedeqetelebab.

17 And behold these three cities are near Mount Lubar; Sedeqetelebab fronting the mountain on its east; and Na'eltama'uk on the south; 'Adatan'eses towards the west.

18 And these are the sons of Shem: Elam, and Asshur, and Arpachshad -this (son) was born two years after the flood- and Lud, and Aram.

19 The sons of Japheth: Gomer and Magog and Madai and Javan, Tubal and Meshech and Tiras: these are the sons of Noah.

20 And in the twenty-eighth jubilee [1324-1372 A.M.] Noah began to enjoin upon his sons' sons the ordinances and commandments, and all the judgments that he knew, and he exhorted his sons to observe righteousness, and to cover the shame of their flesh, and to bless their Creator, and honor father and mother, and love their neighbour, and guard their souls from fornication and uncleanness and all iniquity.

21 For owing to these three things came the flood upon the earth, namely, owing to the fornication wherein the Watchers against the Torah of their ordinances went a whoring after the daughters of men, and took themselves wives of all which they chose: and they made the beginning of uncleanness. (This has WAY more information on why the flood came about. We knew that the Watchers were with the daughters but it also tells a lot more of the story here.)

22 And they begat sons the Naphidim, and they were all unlike, and they devoured one another: and the Giants slew the Naphil, and the Naphil slew the Eljo, and the Eljo mankind, and one man another.

23 And every one sold himself to work iniquity and to shed much blood, and the earth was filled with iniquity.

24 And after this they sinned against the beasts and birds, and all that moves and walks on the earth: and much blood was shed on the earth, and every imagination and desire of men imagined vanity and evil continually.

25 And YAHWEH destroyed everything from off the face of the earth; because of the wickedness of their deeds, and because of the blood which they had shed in the midst of the earth He destroyed everything.

26 'And we were left, I and you, my sons, and everything that entered with us into the ark, and behold I see your works before me that you do not walk in righteousness: for in the path of destruction you have begun to walk, and you are parting one from another, and are envious one of another, and (so it comes) that you are not in harmony, my sons, each with his brother.

27 For I see, and behold the demons have begun their seductions against you and against your children and now I fear on your behalf, that after my death you will shed the blood of men upon the earth, and that you, too, will be destroyed from the face of the earth.

28 For whoso sheds man's blood, and whoso eats the blood of any flesh, shall all be destroyed from the earth.

29 And there shall not be left any man that eats blood, or that sheds the blood of man on the earth, Nor shall there be left to him any seed or descendants living under heaven; For into Sheol shall they go, And into the place of condemnation shall they descend, And into the darkness of the deep shall they all be removed by a violent death.

30 There shall be no blood seen upon you of all the blood there shall be all the days in which you have killed any beasts or cattle or whatever flies upon the earth, and work you a good work to your souls by covering that which has been shed on the face of the earth.

31 And you shall not be like him who eats with blood, but guard yourselves that none may eat blood before you: cover the blood, for thus have I been commanded to testify to you and your children, together with all flesh.

32 And suffer not the soul to be eaten with the flesh, that your blood, which is your life, may not be required at the hand of any flesh that sheds it on the earth.

33 For the earth will not be clean from the blood which has been shed upon it; for (only) through the blood of him that shed it will the earth be purified throughout all its generations.

34 And now, my children, listen: work judgment and righteousness that you maybe planted in righteousness over the face of the whole earth, and your praise lifted up before YAHWEH my ALMIGHTY, who saved me from the waters of the flood.

35 And behold, you will go and build for yourselves cities, and plant in them all the plants that are upon the earth, and moreover all fruit-bearing trees.

36 For three years the fruit of everything that is eaten will not be gathered: and in the fourth year its fruit will be accounted kodesh [and they will offer the first-fruits], acceptable before the Most High YAHWEH, who created heaven and earth and all things. Let them offer in abundance the first of the wine and oil as first-fruits on the altar of YAHWEH, who receives it, and what is left let the servants of the house of YAHWEH eat before the altar which receives it.

37 And in the fifth year make you the release so that you release it in righteousness and uprightness, and you shall be righteous, and all that you plant shall prosper.

38 For thus did Enoch, the father of your father command Methuselah, his son, and Methuselah his son Lamech, and Lamech commanded me all the things which his fathers commanded him.

39 And I also will give you commandment, my sons, as Enoch commanded his son in the first jubilees: while still living, the seventh in his generation, he commanded and testified to his son and to his son's sons until the day of his death.'

So, this is a lot. Noah is basically giving his children a talk about what they are going to do going forward and how to live and to honor The Most High God. This is a lot to know and to do, but I guess they didn't have things like we have today. The distractions were small during this time as they had plenty of time to do things and nothing really in the way. I know they didn't have any conveniences, but they also didn't have a ton of people there either. I find the commands to be a bit confusing and I would be so worried that I would mess them up that I would probably mess them up. I mean, this is important, and death is on the line here... The Book Of Jubilees Chapter 6

Noah Went Forth From The Ark And Made Atonement

1 And on the new month of the third month he went forth from the ark, and built an altar on that mountain.

2 And he made atonement for the earth, and took a kid and made atonement by its blood for all the guilt of the earth; for everything that had been on it had been destroyed, save those that were in the ark with Noah.

3 And he placed the fat thereof on the altar, and he took an ox, and a goat, and a sheep and kids, and salt, and a turtle-dove, and the young of a dove, and placed a burnt sacrifice on the altar, and poured thereon an offering mingled with oil, and sprinkled wine and strewed frankincense over everything, and caused a goodly savior to arise, acceptable before YAHWEH.

4 And YAHWEH smelt the goodly savior, and He made a covenant with him that there should not be any more a flood to destroy the earth; that all the days of the earth seed-time and harvest should never cease; cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night should not change their order, nor cease forever.

5 'And you, increase you and multiply upon the earth, and become many upon it, and be a blessing upon it. The fear of you and the dread of you I will inspire in everything that is on earth and in the sea.

6 And behold I have given unto you all beasts, and all winged things, and everything that moves on the earth, and the fish in the waters, and all things for food; as the green herbs, I have given you all things to eat.

7 But flesh, with the life thereof, with the blood, you shall not eat; for the life of all flesh is in the blood, lest your blood of your lives be required. At the hand of every man, at the hand of every (beast) will I require the blood of man.

8 Whoso sheds man's blood by man shall his blood be shed, for in the image of YAHWEH made He man.

9 And you, increase you, and multiply on the earth.'

10 And Noah and his sons swore that they would not eat any blood that was in any flesh, and he made a covenant before YAHWEH forever throughout all the generations of the earth in this month. (So, it looks like all of you that eat your steak raw need to cook it longer.)

11 On this account He spoke to you that you should make a covenant with the children of Yisrael in this month upon the mountain with an oath, and that you should sprinkle blood upon them because of all the words of the covenant, which YAHWEH made with them forever.

12 And this testimony is written concerning you that you should observe it continually, so that you should not eat on any day any blood of beasts or birds or cattle during all the days of the earth, and the man who eats the blood of beast or of cattle or of birds during all the days of the earth, he and his seed shall be rooted out of the land.

13 And do you command the children of Yisrael to eat no blood, so that their names and their seed may be before YAHWEH our Sovereign Ruler continually.

14 And for this Torah there is no limit of days, for it is forever. They shall observe it throughout their generations, so that they may continue supplicating on your behalf with blood before the altar; every day and at the time of morning and evening they shall seek forgiveness on your behalf perpetually before YAHWEH that they may keep it and not be rooted out. (It looks like prayer each morning and each evening)

15 And He gave to Noah and his sons a sign that there should not again be a flood on the earth.

16 He set His bow in the cloud for a sign of the eternal covenant that there should not again be a flood on the earth to destroy it all the days of the earth. (The real reason for the Rainbow)

17 For this reason it is ordained and written on the heavenly tablets, that they should celebrate the "Feast of Weeks" in this month once a year, to renew the covenant every year.

The Feast of Weeks, also known as Shavuot, holds a significant place in Jewish tradition. Let me share some insights about this special occasion:

Biblical Origins:

1. Shavout is one of the biblically-ordained Three Pilgrimage Festivals.

2. In the Bible, Shavout marked the wheat harvest in ancient Israel.

3. Additionally, rabbinic tradition teaches that this date also commemorates the revelation of the Torah to Moses and the Israelites at Mount Sinai.

4. According to Orthodox Judaism, this momentous events took place around 1312 BCE.

Counting of the Omer:

Shavuot is intricately linked to Passover.

The Torah mandates a seven-week Counting of the OMer, starting from the second day of Passover and culminating in Shavuot.

This symbolizes anticipation and desire for the giving of the Torah.

On Passover, the Israelites were freed from slavery; on Shavuot, they received the Torah and became a nation devoted to serving God.

Not the same as Christian Pentecost:

Although Shavuot is sometimes referred to as Pentecost, it is distinct from the Christian Pentecost.

Shavuot occurs fifty days after Passover, while Christian Pentecost follows Easter by fifty days.

The term "Pentecost" itself means "fiftieth" in Greek.

Celebration:

Shavuot is traditionally celebrated in Israel for on day (a public holiday) and for two days in the diaspora.

It is a time to reflect on the gift of Torah and the covenant between God and the Jewish people.

In summary, Shavuot, the Festival of Weeks, marks both the agricultural bounty and the spiritual revelation--a beautiful blend of tradition, history, and gratitude.

18 And this whole festival was celebrated in heaven from the day of creation till the days of Noah -twenty six jubilees and five weeks of years [1309-1659 A.M.]: and Noah and his sons observed it for seven jubilees and one week of years (350 years), till the day of Noah's death, and from the day of Noah's death his sons did away with it until the days of Abraham, and they eat blood. (GREAT... Clearly these kids didn't learn anything.)

19 But Abraham observed it, and Yitschaq (Issac) and Yacob and his children observed it up to your days (Moses), and in your days the children of Yisrael forgot it until you celebrated it anew on this mountain.

20 And do you command the children of Yisrael to observe this festival in all their generations for a commandment unto them: one day in the year in this month they shall celebrate the festival.

21 For it is the "Feast of Weeks" and the "Feast of First Fruits:" this feast is twofold and of a double nature: according to what is written and engraved concerning it, celebrate it. (So, mark your calendar for either April 24 or April 28, and celebrate the significance of First Fruits! 🌾🍇🌿)

22 For I have written in the book of the first Torah, in that which I have written for you, that you should celebrate it in its season, one day in the year, and I explained to you its sacrifices that the children of Yisrael should remember and should celebrate it throughout their generations in this month, one day in every year. (So, this is pretty clear on the fact that we should be celebrating this day even today.)

23 And on the new month of the first month, and on the new month of the fourth month, and on the new month of the seventh month, and on the new month of the tenth month are the days of remembrance, and the days of the seasons in the four divisions of the year. These are written and ordained as a testimony forever. (These are 4 other days...which are separated by seasons... I'm thinking the solstices and equinoxes)

24 And Noah ordained them for himself as feasts for the generations forever, so that they have become thereby a memorial unto him.

25 And on the new month of the first month he was bidden to make for himself an ark, and on that (day) the earth became dry and he opened (the ark) and saw the earth. (These are all done on the sighting of the new moon which denotes the first day of the new month)

26 And on the new month of the fourth month the mouths of the depths of the abyss beneath were closed. And on the new month of the seventh month all the mouths of the abysses of the earth were opened, and the waters began to descend into them.

27 And on the new month of the tenth month the tops of the mountains were seen, and Noah was glad.

28 And on this account he ordained them for himself as feasts for a memorial forever, and thus are they ordained.

29 And they placed them on the heavenly tablets, each had thirteen weeks; from one to another (passed) their memorial, from the first to the second, and from the second to the third, and from the third to the fourth.

30 And all the days of the commandment will be fifty two weeks of days, and (these will make) the entire year complete. Thus it is engraved and ordained on the heavenly tablets.

31 And there is no neglecting (this commandment) for a single year or from year to year.

32 And command you the children of Yisrael that they observe the years according to this reckoning- three hundred and sixty-four days, and (these) will constitute a complete year, and they will not disturb its time from its days and from its feasts; for everything will fall out in them according to their testimony, and they will not leave out any day nor disturb any feasts.

33 But if they do neglect and do not observe them according to His commandment, then they will disturb all their seasons and the years will be dislodged from this (order), [and they will disturb the seasons and the years will be dislodged] and they will neglect their ordinances. (Well, we do have a rather messed up calendar. We no longer go by a biblical calendar, and we have days added and the months and the new year is all changed around. I guess this is one of satan's "big deceptions"...)

34 And all the children of Yisrael will forget and will not find the path of the years, and will forget the new months, and seasons, and Shabbats and they will go wrong as to all the order of the years. (Totally true)

35 For I know and from henceforth will I declare it unto you, and it is not of my own devising; for the book is written before me, and on the heavenly tablets the division of days is ordained, lest they forget the feasts of the covenant and walk according to the feasts of the Gentiles after their error and after their ignorance.

36 For there will be those who will assuredly make observations of the moon -how it disturbs the seasons and comes in from year to year ten days too soon. (Yes!)

37 For this reason the years will come upon them when they will disturb (the order), and make an abominable (day) the day of testimony, and an unclean day a feast day, and they will confound all the days, the kodesh with the unclean, and the unclean day with the kodesh; for they will go wrong as to the months and Shabbats and feasts and jubilees. (We are completely off from this. The Sabbath is now observed on Sunday, and it isn't anything like the observation back in biblical times. Also, there really isn't a clear explanation as to why. Some think that since Yeshua rose on Sunday that this makes it for a new fulfillment of the covenant. So the old law and observations are changed...)

38 For this reason I command and testify to you that you may testify to them; for after your death your children will disturb them, so that they will not make the year three hundred and sixty-four days only, and for this reason they will go wrong as to the new months and seasons and Shabbats and festivals, and they will eat all kinds of blood with all kinds of flesh.

Genesis Part 5: The Ark that Noah Built?

Hi, Everyone, and thank you for joining me @ 144Judah! As you have gathered from Enoch, Noah was special. "Highly Favored"... But you don't know all there is to know about Noah, do you? From the KJV Genesis we learn that Noah is the son of Lamech, who was the son of Methuselah who was the son of Enoch. So, Enoch is Noah's great great grandfather. He is also the one that tells him of the upcoming "deluge". But we don't learn that part from the Holy Bible. We learn that from The Book of Enoch. We really don't learn much about Noah from The Bible itself.

Genesis 5:28-29 "And Lamech lived an hundred eighty and two years, and begat a son: And he called his name Noah, saying, This same shall comfort us concerning our work and toil of our hands, because of the ground which the Lord hath cursed."

Remember the section of the "begats" that we talked about under the Children of Adam and Eve? Well... this is the part that we talked about with the name "Noah" meaning rest. They named their son Noah because they thought the work and toil of their hands would be fulfilled because of the curse of Adam and Eve... His father, Lamech, wanted to separate the responsibility of work from value. The curse was supposed to lift but it wouldn't be as hard... Imagine naming your son that so you didn't have to work anymore? And then, come to find out, well Lamech didn't, but Noah sure did... He found out that he would be the one to start the new world all over from the beginning.

"And all the days of Lamech were seven hundred seventy and seven years: and he died. And Noah was five hundred years old: and Noah begat Shem, Ham, and Japheth." Genesis 5:32(The interesting part about this is they don't mention the name of Noah's wife. But, if you go back to Genesis 4:22, you will see the name of Tubal-cain's sister: Naamah.) "And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them, That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose. And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years." Genesis 6:1-3

(Is this how long it took to build the Ark before the waters came?)

So, we know from Enoch that things got nuts. And God is setting us up with the story above... the men took wives, and then he tells us what we read about in Enoch...

"There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown." Genesis 6:4

Now... This reads a whole lot different after reading Enoch, right? sons of God? So, the Watchers... because sons of men would be human. The Hebrew translation has two different meanings. Rabbi Lapin talks about the God part being Lord in his translation and that it meant well-to-do meant defined as Lords and Ladies.

So, going on "And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart. And the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them. But Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord." Genesis 6:5-8

Remember who else walked with God? Yes, the one and only, Enoch.

These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God. Genesis 6:9

Now this is where our story differs. In Enoch, God talks to Enoch, and tells him to go to Noah. Here, God directly goes to Noah. In Enoch, it is said that the angels built an ark for Noah, and here God tells Noah the dimensions to build the Ark. In Hebrew the dimensions of the Ark, according to Rabbi Daniel Lapin, wouldn't hold up as it wasn't about an actual vessel. It was a symbol of God's mercy.

So, what is the truth?

Genesis 7:1-6

"And the Lord said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation. Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens, the male and his female: and of beasts that are not clean by two, the male and his female. Of fowls also of the air by sevens, the male and the female; to keep seed alive upon the face of all the earth. For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth. And Noah did according unto all that the Lord commanded him. And Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters was upon the earth."

And Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him, into the ark, because of the waters of the flood. Of clean beasts, and of beasts that are not clean, and of fowls, and of every thing that creepeth upon the earth, There went in two and two unto Noah into the ark, the male and the female, as God had commanded Noah. And it came to pass after seven days, that the waters of the flood were upon the earth. In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeeth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened. And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights. In the selfsame day entered Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah's wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark;" Genesis 7:7-13

Genesis 7:16 "And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the Lord shut him in."

Whoa... The Lord shut him in.

Can you imagine being on the ark? Can you imagine seeing all the rain and the waters everywhere and seeing people out there and knowing what you knew and not bringing people with you? Can you imagine the sounds on the outside of the ark? Can you imagine what it took in Noah not to let anyone else in?

Now, on the flip side, can you imagine seeing Noah building an ark for over a hundred years and thinking he is crazy but then the rains came? This reminds me of what is happening today. There is evil all around us today, but there are people out there that just don't see it.

"And all flesh died that moved upon the earth, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of beast, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth, and every man: All in whose nostrils was the breath of life, of all that was in the dry land, died. And every living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground, both man, and cattle, and the creeping things, and the fowl of the heaven; and they were destroyed from the earth: and Noah only remained alive, and they that were with him in the ark." Genesis 7:21-23

"And it came to pass at the end of forty days, that Noah opened the window of the ark which he had made: And he sent forth a raven, which went forth to and fro, until the waters were dried up from off the earth. Also he sent forth a dove from him, to see if the waters were abated from off the face of the ground; But the dove found no rest for the sole of her foot, and she returned unto him into the ark, for the waters were on the face of the whole earth: then he put forth his hand, and took her, and pulled her in unto him into the ark. And he stayed yet other seven days; and again he sent forth the dove out of the ark; And the dove came in to him in the evening; and, lo, in her mouth was an olive leaf pluckt off: so Noah knew that the waters were abated from off the earth." Genesis 8:6-11

Can you imagine being out there during all that raining and what it smelled like in that ark?

After a few months, on the 27th day of the month, the earth finally dried, and God spoke to Noah. "Go forth of the ark, thou, and thy wife, and thy sons, and thy sons' wives with thee. Bring forth with thee every living thing that is with thee, of all flesh, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth; that they may breed abundantly in the earth, and be fruitful, and multiply upon the earth. And Noah went forth, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him: Every beast, every creeping thing, and every fowl, and whatsoever creepeth upon the earth, after their kinds, went forth out of the ark. And Noah builded an altar unto the LORD; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar. And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done. While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.

And God blessed Noah and his sons, and said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth."

"And God spake unto Noah, and to his sons with him, saying, And I, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your seed after you; And with every living creature that is with you, of the fowl, of the cattle, and of every beast of the earth with you; from all that go out of the ark, to every beast of the earth. And I will establish my covenant with you; neither shall all flesh be cut off any more by the waters of a flood; neither shall there any more be a flood to destroy the earth. And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations: I do set my bow in the cloud, and it shall be for a token of a covenant between me and the earth. And it shall come to pass, when I bring a cloud over the earth, that the bow shall be seen in the cloud: And I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh; and the waters shall no more become a flood to destroy all flesh. And the bow shall be in the cloud; and I will look upon it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is upon the earth. And God said unto Noah, This is the token of the covenant, which I have stablished between me and all flesh that is upon the earth." Genesis 9: 8-17

Wait a minute, are you saying that God has the rights to the Gay Pride Flag? Who knew?

Yes, this Rainbow is the symbol for the covenant that God established with US! A promise... This is why a lot of Christians lose it over the flag. And, to be fair, homosexuality is something that God is not for. We will be talking about that later. Remember, though, dear Christians, that God is also not for sinning of any kind. And, we are not to cast any stones. We are to love EVERYONE. Love the sinner, hate the sin.

So, how does this all correlate with the end of time? Well... Matthew "But as the days of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be. Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come. But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such and hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh." Yeshua- Matthew 24: 37-44

Don't you love how God does everything full circle?
