There's a running joke in our household that I am constantly repeating this one phase, "It's in the Bible" and that is absolutely true.
I am smiling now because I just finished saying it a few minutes ago after reading a headline about War Imminent with Russia and China... duh... it's in the Bible... Yes... It is in the Bible.
Almost all teachers on the Last Days agree that the restoration of the Land of Israel in 1948 after almost 2,000 years was the moment the End-Time clock began to tick. Then in 1967 Jerusalem came back under Jewish control after a miraculous victory in the Six Day war. This was a direct fulfillment of Yeshua’s statement in Luke 21:24, “Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.” These two events, including Israel becoming an agricultural phenomena and the revival of the Hebrew language in Israel, had to happen before Jesus could return. They are now fulfilled and are clear signs that the end is near and the return of the Messiah to the earth is imminent.
(See... birthing pains... Yes, the reason why you have been hearing that the end is near is because the end is near and it takes a little while for the baby to cook in the oven...)
Think about it: Israel is the only state on the face of this planet that such a large number of disparate people wish to see disappear.
The new carriers of this demonic hatred are fanatic Muslims who see Israel and the Jews as a dangerous cancer that must be wiped off the earth. Islamic leaders like Mahmoud Ahmadinejad have vowed to destroy Israel as soon as they acquire the means to do so.
This scenario was predicted thousands of years ago. The prophet Zechariah declared that all nations would turn against Israel in the Last Days: “On that day, when all the nations of the earth are gathered against her, I will make Jerusalem an immovable rock for all the nations. All who try to move it will injure themselves” (Zechariah 12:3). Jesus describes the conditions immediately preceding His return as a time of great conflict and tribulation (see Matthew 24 and Luke 21). The good news is those who seek to destroy Israel will fail. Israel, with Jerusalem as her capital, is here to stay.
AND... what just happened on October 7th?
Oct. 7 liveblog: A timeline of Hamas’s unprecedented assault on Israeli communities
At least 300 killed, 1,590 injured, hostages taken in multi-pronged infiltration from Gaza, as terrorists attack civilians, soldiers at 22 sites; thousands of rockets fired at Israel.
Not only did God promise to restore the Land of Israel in the Last Days, He also declared He would re-gather the “outcasts of Israel” from all the nations where He scattered them (see Isaiah 11:11). This aliyah, or return of the Jews to their biblical homeland, is yet another important sign that the Messiah’s return is approaching. It is no coincidence that over the last 20-plus years, the largest immigration in Israel’s short history has come from Russia and the republics of the former Soviet Union. Amazingly, Jeremiah 16:14-15 predicted that the mass return of the Jewish People would begin from the north. He was not speaking about North America but the land directly north of Israel, the former Soviet Union. More than one million Russian-speaking Jews are now in the Land of Israel, and just as Jeremiah prophesied, they are now returning from the south (more than 130,000 Ethiopian Jews now live in Israel) and all the countries where the Jewish People have been scattered.
I believe here, however that he is talking about the 144,000 meeting him on Mt Zion. But we have several things that have happened over the past several years that show that Israel is back on the map, and we are leading the way to the Messiah's return.
The Gospel Proclaimed to the Nations
Another End-Time restoration that must take place is the Gospel must be proclaimed to all the nations of the earth. In fact, this may be the clearest statement in Scripture about what must happen before Jesus can return. He, Himself told us, “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come” (Matthew 24:14).
The Gospel has been translated, spoken, evangelized from a lot of places, but hasn't been everywhere...yet. This is another thing that happens during the End Times with the 144,000. They are to go out and evangelize and bring the people to Christ. The 144,000 have been sealed and are waiting for the transfiguration.Time of Jacob’s Trouble
“Alas! For that day is great, So that none is like it; And it is the time of Jacob’s trouble, But he shall be saved out of it” (Jeremiah 30:7, NKJV).
“In all history there has never been such a time of terror. It will be a time of trouble for my people Israel. Yet in the end they will be saved!” (Jeremiah 30:7, NLT)
ON CNN
Bodies of Israeli residents and Hamas attackers lay outside burned-out homes in the Israeli kibbutz Kfar Aza on Tuesday, days after the Palestinian militant group launched a large-scale surprise assault on Israel.
Let’s begin in Matthew 24:
Then Jesus went out, going on from the temple. And His disciples approached Him to call attention to the temple construction projects. And Jesus told them, “You see all of these things, don’t you? Certainly I tell you, not one stone on another stone will be left here that won’t be torn down.” (Matthew 24:1-2)
Jesus predicted that the Jewish temple in Jerusalem would be destroyed. This happened about 40 years later, in 70 AD, when the Romans captured Jerusalem and completely destroyed the temple, exactly as Jesus had predicted.
Jesus’s disciples were surprised by this prediction, and they asked Him when these things would happen:
And as He sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be? And what is the sign of Your arrival, and of the end of the age?” (verse 3)
The prophecy that follows is dual. First it was a warning to Christ’s followers of events that would happen in their lifetime. Some of the events Christ foretold were fulfilled in the first century AD. However, these are also signs of Christ’s arrival and the end of the age (verse 3). The primary fulfillment will be at the end of the age.
And Jesus answered, saying to them, “Watch out so that no one misleads you. For many will come in My name, saying I am the Christ, and they will lead many astray.” (verses 4, 5)
Jesus warned that many people would come in His name. They will use the name of Jesus Christ to mislead people. These false ministers will say that Jesus is the Christ. They will claim to be “Christians.” But they will mislead people with false teachings that don’t match the Bible.
This first sign of the end is a recognizable turning point for religion. A false “Christianity” will suddenly become a powerful and influential force in the world and will mislead many people. This is not something that will happen slowly over the course of hundreds of years.
How do we know?
- This is a sign that the return of Christ and the end of the age is near. A sign is something that can be seen and recognized.
- Jesus said that all the events described in Matthew 24:3-31 would happen in a short period of time.
Notice Matthew 24:32-34:
“Now learn this riddle from the fig tree. When its branch has already become tender, and produces its leaves, you know that the summer is near. In this way you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near—at the doors! Certainly I tell you, this generation will not pass away until all these things happen.”
Jesus said “when you see all these things”—which includes the first sign that He gave, then the end and His return is “near—at the doors.” He also said that the generation that will be alive when these things begin will be the same generation that will see Him return (Matthew 24:34). Once you see a false version of Christianity suddenly rise in power and influence, the remaining events will happen quickly.
It is important for you to recognize the first sign when it happens. When this turning point occurs, many will be led astray. You must be on guard, so you won’t be deceived. You need to be familiar with the Bible, so you can recognize the difference between real Christianity and a Christianity that looks real, but isn’t.
More Details About the First Sign
As you study this sequence of events, it is important to check the same event described in Mark 13, Luke 21, and the book of Revelation.
Luke 21:8 reveals that these false Christian teachers will say, “the time has drawn near.” These teachers will claim prophecy is being fulfilled.
Now take a moment to think. Here I am, teaching in the name of Christ, telling you that Jesus is the Christ, telling you that the time of Christ’s return is near. Should you believe me? No! Don’t believe anyone who teaches in the name of Christ, unless what they say matches the Bible. Check everything you hear in your Bible and ask God for understanding so you won’t be deceived!
Now look at this first sign of the end of the age in the book of Revelation. Remember, Revelation also gives a sequence of events that will happen at the end of the age. The events in Revelation match up with the sequence of events that Jesus described in Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 21.
Revelation 6:1-2:
And I saw that the Lamb opened one of the seven seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures saying, as with a voice of thunder, “Come!” And I looked and look! A white horse! And he who sat on it had a bow. And a crown was given to him, and he came out conquering, and to conquer.”
Who is the rider on this white horse?
At the end of the book of Revelation we read how Jesus Christ will come down from heaven, riding a white horse, coming to conquer the nations that will fight against Him (Revelation 19:11, 15).
Is the rider on the white horse in Revelation 6:1-2 also Jesus Christ?
No! It is a false Christ!
I have been saying this since 2008... Barack Obama is the antichrist. I heard it plain as day on election day.
Remember that in Revelation 6 Jesus is explaining the same end-time sequence of events that He described in Matthew 24. The first sign in Matthew 24 was religious deception by a false Christianity. This first rider is not Jesus Christ—it is the Antichrist.
1 John 2:18 says “…the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have arisen…”
One meaning of the word “antichrist” is someone who is against Christ. There have been many antichrists, and there will be many more. But the Bible also mentions a specific person called the Antichrist who is coming. The Bible does not give many details about this person, but another meaning of the word antichrist is someone who is in place of Christ.
Remember that in Matthew 24:5 Jesus warned about many who would come in the name of Christ and deceive many. Here, in Revelation 6:2, we see a description of one specific person who will eventually claim to be the Christ.
Here are the symbols used to describe this Antichrist in Revelation 6:2:
He will sit on “a white horse.” As Jesus Christ will come on a white horse to save the world, people will think this person has come from God to save the world.
“And he who sat on it had a bow.” This person will be able to fight wars (During his presidency: Barack Obama (2009-2017)
Inherited:
Ongoing hostility with Iran
War in Afghanistan
War in Iraq-The U.S. officially withdrew from Iraq in December of 2011.
Conflict with al-Qaida-includes Drone War against al-Qaida and other Jihadist groups in Pakistan, Yemen, Libya, and elsewhere.
Initiated/Engaged:
Libyan War of 2011
War with ISIS-The U.S. military returned to Iraq in 2014 to fight against the Islamic State (ISIS or ISIL). This war also takes place in Syria, Libya, Yemen, and other nations.
U.S. aid to France in Mali War (2014)-U.S. provides air support, logistics, and other aid as France intervenes to stop Jihadist offensive in Mali
U.S. intervention in Joseph Kony conflict-U.S. troops aid Ugandan and other African militaries hunt down insurgent and terrorist Joseph Kony.
U.S. Intervention in Libyan Civil War (2014-Present)-U.S. involvement is primarily directed against Jihadist elements in Libya.
U.S. Intervention in Yemen Civil War -U.S. involvement is primarily directed against Jihadist elements in Yemen.
U.S. Intervention in Somali Civil War U.S. involvement is primarily directed against Jihadist elements in Somalia.)
“And a crown was given to him.” This person will become the leader of nation or nations. (I believe he will head up The United Nations at some point.)
“and he came out conquering, and to conquer.” This person will use his military to conquer.
From The Clear Truth.com
In Revelation 13 we learn that this political leader, who is called “the Beast,” will work together with the leader of false Christianity, who is called “the false prophet.” (I believe that this could be the Pope.) The Beast will use his military to expand the influence of false Christianity. In return, the false prophet will eventually teach people to worship this man as a god (Revelation 13:4, 15; 2 Thessalonians 2:4; Ezekiel 28:2; Daniel 11:36-39).
This Antichrist has many names in the Bible. He is called “the Beast” (Revelation 13:4-8, etc.), “the man of sin” (2 Thessalonians 2:3-4), “the king of the North” (Daniel 11:40), a little horn (Daniel 7:8, 24-25), “the prince who is to come” (Daniel 9:26), “the prince of Tyre” (Ezekiel 28:2-10), “the king of Babylon” (Isaiah 14:3-11), and “Nebuchadnezzar” (Jeremiah 50:17-18). (I believe the US is Mystery Babylon)
Watch for a European leader who partners with an influential Church, who goes out to conquer and “save” the world. This is the first sign Jesus gave that the end of the age is near.

Here's a fun little fact:
Is Pope Francis the False Prophet?
St. Malachy’s Prophecy of the Last Pope
The rumors are everywhere! The talk shows, the Internet, and the prophecy newsletters are all abuzz with the same question: Will Pope Francis be the last pope? So, where did all these rumors come from?
St. Malachy was the Archbishop of Armagh, Ireland. He claimed he experienced a vision while visiting Rome in 1139 AD. He said he saw every pope that would exist from the time of his vision until the last pope. The last pope would be the 112th from the time of his vision. Malachy also stated that God would judge His people and the city of Rome would be destroyed during the reign of the last pope. In Malachy’s vision, a clue was given as to the identity of each pope, including the 112th one. The clue for the 112th pope was “Peter the Roman”.
St. Malachy wrote his vision of the popes down, and it is believed the manuscript was given to Pope Innocent II. The prophecy of the popes was then deposited in the Vatican Secret Archives and forgotten until its rediscovery in 1590. Malachy’s vision was then published in 1595 and has circulated on and off ever since.
It was not until 2005 that Malachy’s prophecies began to attract a lot of attention. Pope John Paul II was on his deathbed. Someone noticed that he was the 110th pope from Malachy’s time. That meant the next pope would be the 111th and then, if Malachy’s prophecy were true, the 112th pope would be the last pope. To some that meant the end of the world would then come.
Does the Bible Agree with the Prophecy of Malachy?
The prophecy of St. Malachy contains five elements:
- There is going to be a final pope.
- During his reign, the Roman Catholic Church will be judged.
- During his papacy, Rome, the city of seven hills, will be destroyed.
- The last pope will be the 112th pope from 1139 AD.
- The clue to his identity is “Peter the Roman”.
The prophecies of the Bible perfectly agree with the first three points of the Malachy prophecy. The Bible foretells that there will be a final pope. It’s states that judgment will be poured out on the Roman Church during the reign of the last pope. And the scriptures graphically portray the destruction of Rome, the city of seven hills, during the reign of the final pope.
How Do the Bible’s Prophecies Differ from Malachy?
The scriptures do not say several things that the prophecy of Malachy says about the final pope. They also give us much more information about the last pope than Malachy gave. The differences are as follows:
- The Bible states that a final pope is coming. However, it does not say he will be the 112th pope from 1139 AD.
- The scriptures say nothing about “Peter the Roman”.
- The Bible says the last pope will be in alliance with the world’s last political leader – the Antichrist.
- The scriptures call the last pope the False Prophet.
- The biblical prophecies say the final pope will perform many signs and lying wonders, even pulling down fire from heaven. These miracles will be used to deceive the people of the world.
- The final pope will influence the world to give their allegiance to the Antichrist and his one-world government.
- The False Prophet will endorse a program of global socialism, causing all people to receive a mark or number that will be required for buying and selling. This “Mark of the Beast” will apparently be a global scheme for wealth redistribution (social justice).
- The Second Coming of Jesus will end the reign of the Antichrist and the False Prophet. At that time they will both be cast into the lake of fire (Revelation 19:20).
Will Pope Francis be the False Prophet?
There are some factors that seem to indicate Pope Francis could well be the False Prophet while others would argue against it.
The Pros
1. The Holy Roman Empire, which will be in power during the reign of the Antichrist and the False Prophet, was reborn on November 3, 2009. (See Endtime’s DVD, Holy Roman Empire Reborn).
2. We are moving into a system of global governance right now through the process of globalization.
3. Most of the world is presently rejecting capitalism and embracing socialism.
4. All the prophecies that are to occur during the reign of the Antichrist and the False Prophet are shaping up at this time. (See Endtime’s DVD series, Understanding the Endtime).
5. Pope Francis is a strong proponent of “social justice”, which is simply a politically correct term for socialism.
6. Pope Francis’ lifestyle of humility and simplicity is causing him to become very popular very quickly.
7. Pope Francis is the first Jesuit pope ever.
Wars and Reports of Wars
And you will be hearing of wars and reports of wars. See that you aren’t troubled, because all these things must happen, but the end is not yet. For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom… (Matthew 24:6-7)
Notice that Jesus said that when these wars occur, “the end is not yet.” These signs will happen a short time before the period that the Bible calls “the end.”
Here is the same sign, described in Revelation 6:3-4:
And when He opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature saying, “Come!” And another horse came out, fire-red. And it was given to him who sat on it to take peace from the earth, and that they would butcher one another. And a large sword was given to him.
This is not talking about wars in general. This sign will be a clear turning point. There will be major wars throughout the world, which will lead to the next two signs.
(Once again birthing pains... Here's a list of all the presidents and all the wars since 1948. I picked that as the important starting point would be Israel being established.)
Here's a list of all the wars that have happened world-wide since 1948. I went to two different websites for this info because one of them stopped at 2017.

2020–2023[edit]
Sign 3: Famine
The next sign listed in Matthew 24:7 is “there will be famines.”
These famines are described in Revelation 6:5-6:
And when He opened the third seal, I heard the third living creature saying, “Come!” And look! A black horse! And he who sat on it had a balance in his hand. I heard a voice in between the four living creatures saying, “A liter of wheat for a denarius, and three liters of barley for a denarius! But don’t damage the oil and the wine!”
When John saw this vision, a denarius was the wage for about one day of work (Matthew 20:2). The major wars of the second seal will quickly lead to widespread inflation, famine, and many people starving.
(We have had a lot of famine over the years. Prices have risen higher and higher, and in today's age, we are seeing them go even higher. I believe that it is only going to get worse. Inflation has been going out the roof. Gas has climbed significantly in the last year, and now that the war is in Israel, I believe that we are going to be hit again.
